We are able to manufacture a very comprehensive range of transmission components, on a one -off or production basis, which include the following classifications:

- Worms & Wormwheels
- Sprocket Pinions. Chainwheels and Platewheels suitable for Simplex, Duplex and Triplex chains to British and USA standard specifications.
Additional facilities include: Broaching, Slotting, Turning, Grinding, Drilling and Milling.
Special Gearbox Breakdown Service
We are very aware of the potential cost of lost production hours and great inconvenience caused by plant breakdown, particularly on 24 hour production line operations, where the problem is the result of component wear or failure.
We do everything in our power to minimise the effects of such emergencies by offering a service for the rapid replacement of such parts.
All we need is your worn or broken components, together with a mating part in some circumstances, and we get straight to work.
We will pick up and deliver and do our utmost to rectify your situation.
Gear Box Repair and Overhaul
With our manufacturing facilities and the expertise of our highly qualified staff, we can strip most types and sizes of worm and helical gearboxes. Examine, make new parts as required and re-assemble as new.
In most cases, the refurbishment of obsolete boxes presents no problem and can often be the saving of a lot of unnecessary expense.

DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS AND HEAT TREATMENT
Douglas E. Ward Engineers Ltd request that customers provide drawings of required parts which include written metal specifications and details of heat treatment requirements.
On occasion, when this is not possible and a customer sample component is provided, Douglas E. Ward Engineers Ltd endeavour to achieve the specification based on the sample.
Please note that when a sample component only is supplied by a customer and no written specifications are given, Douglas E. Ward Engineers Ltd accept no responsibility or liability for the failure of the produced part nor any damage to customer machinery or production process at any time.
COMPONENT REPAIRS
Whilst every effort is made to produce high quality repairs that are fit for purpose, Douglas E. Ward Engineers Ltd wish to bring to your attention that repairs, by their very nature, do not fully replicate the quality of a new product.
Therefore, Douglas E. Ward Engineers Ltd cannot accept any responsibility or liability, during any time period, for damage caused as a result of the use of a repaired product or the failure of the part itself.
By placing an order to repair a product you are acknowledging that you have read, understood and are agreeing to the terms of this disclaimer and confirm that you are authorised to do so by your company.
